Mealy Cabbage Aphid

Brevicoryne brassicae


Over all length 2 - 3mm. The aphids are pale green with a waxy coat that gives them a bluish bloom. They can infest a plant, completely covering its stems.


Feeds on cabbages or other Brassicas. Common garden pest.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
