Description

Body length 3 to 3.5mm. A quite large green or brown aphid. May be winged or unwinged.

Habitat

Found on Stinging Nettles, Urtica dioica.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread throughout Britain wherever nettles grow. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

All year.
