Upcoming public events held at the Netherfield Lagoons Local Nature Reserve, Nottinghamshire.
There are five species of orchid to be seen on the reserve. Come and see how many we can find in flower plus what other flowers are out.
Meet at the footbridge onto the site.
If you would like to help us count the birds at the lagoons meet us at the end of Teal Close, opposite the CEM factory gates. Do not be put off if you are not too sure of your bird identification as its a great way of learning from more experienced birders. Its also a great way to make new friends and you might see some new birds to add to your life list.
Parent birds will be busy feeding their young and butterflies should be about. There will be lots of flowers so we should find something interesting.

There should be good numbers of butterflies about by now. We just need sunshine to bring them out.
