Upcoming public events held at the Netherfield Lagoons Local Nature Reserve, Nottinghamshire.
Come and join us on a bird count. This is a good way for beginners to gain experience and to find out more about the site. Meet at the end of Teal Close, opposite the CEM factory gates, at 07.45 hrs.
If you would like to help with some of the management work come along in the morning. We meet inside the metal gates in the small car park. Park on Teal Close and walk along the Ouse Dyke to the footbridge. Follow the Willow Walk and you will arrive at the car park. Please be on time so that we can allocate tools to you. Wear stout shoes and thorn-proof gloves.
Some summer migrants may already be in and there could be some passage migrants passing through. Meet at the footbridge onto the reserve.

Spend an hour or two or the whole day to list as many birds on the site in one day as possible. We normally get at least sixty and we have reached the dizzy heights of ninety on some occasions. Make sure you let us know what you have seen.
