Upcoming public events held at the Netherfield Lagoons Local Nature Reserve, Nottinghamshire.
There are Bush-crickets, Grasshoppers and Groundhoppers to be seen in lots of the habitats at the lagoons. Let’s see how many species we can find on the day.
Come and join us on a bird count. This is a good way for beginners to gain experience and to find out more about the site. Meet at the end of Teal Close, opposite the CEM factory gates, at 07.45 hrs.
The birds will still include many summer visitors to the site and some winter visitors will be returning and passage birds might be pausing. Lots of insects will be about, including several dragonfly species.
