Upcoming public events held at the Netherfield Lagoons Local Nature Reserve, Nottinghamshire.
If you would like to help with some of the management work come along in the morning. We meet inside the metal gates in the small car park. Park on Teal Close and walk along the Ouse Dyke to the footbridge. Follow the Willow Walk and you will arrive at the car park. Please be on time so that we can allocate tools to you. Wear stout shoes and thorn-proof gloves. Remember to follow the social distancing guidelines.
There should be eight species of duck to see and the walk will be finished off by watching the Starling murmuration as they come to roost in the reed beds. Of course this depends on the co-operation of the Starlings. Meet at the footbridge onto the reserve.
Come and join us on a bird count. This is a good way for beginners to gain experience and to find out more about the site. Meet at the end of Teal Close, opposite the CEM factory gates, at 07.45 hrs.
