    OPEN DAY – Saturday 7th September

    It’s your Local Nature Reserve and its right on your doorstep.
    Enter the Netherfield Retail Park from the Colwick Loop Road, drive straight on at both round-abouts and park at the end of the road. Walk through the metal gates and into a greener world.
    Don’t miss the official opening of the Reed Bed Safari Path at 2pm

    Monthly Bird Count – 8th September
    Sep 8 @ 7:45 am – 12:00 pm

    Come and join us on a bird count. This is a good way for beginners to gain experience and to find out more about the site. Meet at the end of Teal Close, opposite the CEM factory gates, at 07.45 hrs.

    If you would like to help with some of the management work come along in the morning. We meet inside the metal gates in the small car park. Park on Teal Close and walk along the Ouse Dyke to the footbridge. Follow the Willow Walk and you will arrive at the car park. Please be on time so that we can allocate tools to you.

    Moth Trapping – Friday 20th September

    If you would like to join the moth trappers be at the gates by 18.30hrs. Bring a torch and portable seat and something warm to wear as the evening cools.

    The autumn passage has started so some migrants could be about. Meet at the footbridge onto the reserve.
