Eight to ten thousand Starlings come to roost in the Slurry Lagoon reed bed in the autumn. Come and see their aerial manoeuvres . There could also be thousands of geese and crows on their way to roost as well. With a bit of luck a Bittern might also join the gathering.

Come and join us at the Netherfield Wildlife Group’s Annual General Meeting. After the short formal meeting there will be a raffle, second hand book sale and a wildlife quiz. If you would like to donate books for the sale or prizes for the raffle, please bring them along on the night.

Do not be put off if you are not too sure of your bird identification as its a great way of learning from more experienced birders. Its also a great way to make new friends and you might see some new birds to add to your life list.
