Waxed Lacewing

Description

Over all length 3 to 4.5mm. A small white lacewing with a powdery wax coating on body and wings.

Habitat

Found on trees and shrubs. Thought to be predatory, on small invertebrates.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in southern Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
