Description
Body length 8mm. The body is brown and the wings have a pattern of dark brown spots on them.
Habitat
Hunts amongst dense greenery for aphids and other small insects.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread throughout southern Britain, becoming scarcer further north. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
July to September.
