Description

Over all length 7 to 8mm. Very like Mydaea corni, but without the orange scutellum.

Habitat

Woodland. The larvae feed on fungi.

Status and distribution

Fairly common and widespread throughout Britain. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire but uncommon at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to September.
