Description

Over all length 14 - 16mm. A plain pale brown species where only the male has wings.

Habitat

The wingless females are often seen on walls close to lawns or mossy areas where they developed from larvae.

Status and distribution

Distributed throughout England and Scotland, but commoner in Wales and the west of England.

Best time to see

September to November.
