Anthophila fabriciana
Description
Wingspan 10 - 15mm. The wings are dark, thinly speckled with white flecks and with thin, broken white lines.
Habitat
A wide variety of habitats are used, wherever nettles, the larval food plant, can be found.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread through most of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
April to November.
