Brimstone Moth

Description
Wingspan 33 - 46mm. The fore-wing is bright lemon yellow with red triangular marks along the leading edge.
Habitat
Woodland edge, hedgerows, parks and gardens. The caterpillars feed on the leaves of blackthorn and hawthorn.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread in Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
April to October.
