Description
Over all length 6 - 8mm. A very distinctive and graphically marked bug with black and white patterning on its dorsal surface and a yellow cuneus (tip of forewing).
Habitat
Woodland edge and hedgerows. Common on nettles, where it feeds on nettle flowers and other insects.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread in Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
June to August.
