Physatocheila dumetorum/confinis

Description

Over all length 2.5 to 3mm. A small brown lacebug. It is not altogether certain whether P. dumetorum and P. confinis are two separate species, as they can be found together and there are intermediate forms.

Habitat

Lichen covered trees, especially Hawthorn.

Status and distribution

Fairly common and widespread across southern Britain. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

All year.
