Description
Body length 10 - 12mm. A large brown Squash-bug with dark wing membranes. Two very small projections between the antennae are diagnostic.
Habitat
Woodland edge and hedgerows, rough grassland. Anywhere where the food plant, Dock, Rumex, grows.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread in the south-east, less common in the west and reaching no further north than Yorkshire. Common and widespread in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
May to November.
