Description

Body length 5 - 9mm. A family of metallic green or green and red cuckoo-wasps. Some are very similar and those pictured are not identified to species with certainty. 

Habitat

They prey on other Hymenoptera species, laying their eggs in the hosts cell, so that their larva eats the host egg or larva and food store.

Best time to see

April to October.
