Description

Wing length 4.5 - 6.5mm. A small, metallic green species with reddish eyes.

Habitat

Marshes, fens and wet meadows.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread throughout most of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and recorded twice at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

May to October.
