Description
Body length 10 to 15mm. A fairly large species. The male has distinctive white haired fore-legs and the female has golden hairs beneath her abdomen.
Habitat
Gardens, parks, brown-field sites. A wide range of flowers are visited.
Status and Distribution
Common and widespread through southern Britain, getting rarer further north. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons

May to August.
