Description
Wingspan 10 to 11mm. A small, brown moth with two to three pale cream bars and a whitish head.
Habitat
Grasslands. The larvae mine the leaves of various grasses, including Cock’s-foot, Tufted Hair Grass and Giant Fescue.
Status and Distribution
Common and widespread in Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
April to July.
