Description
Wingspan 25mm. The males are fully winged, grey or dark grey with black markings. The females have half wings.
Habitat
Deciduous woodland. The caterpillars feed on the leaves of a variety of trees.
Status and Distribution
Present throughout most of Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and recorded twice at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
March to May.
