Description
Body length 3.5 to 6mm. Males have a mainly pale yellow face, females have two small patches. There are also pale yellow rings on the legs. The pictures are thought to represent what is probably a male of this species.
Habitat
Areas with patches of bare soil, often brown-field sites.
Status and Distribution
Widespread and fairly common in southern Britain, though local. Uncommon in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
May to September.
