Over all length 4 – 8mm. A small metallic green leaf beetle. The female has a hugely swollen abdomen when her eggs are developing.
Habitat
Mainly found on docks, the food plant of adults and larvae.
Status and Distribution
Common and Widespread with a westerly bias. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
March to October.
