Description
Body length 4.5 – 5.5mm. A somewhat variable species with patterned forewings which are mostly transparent.
Habitat
Normally found on or around Birch.
Status and Distribution
Fairly common and widespread in the southern half of Britain, rarer further north. Fairly common in Nottinghamshire and common at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
March to November.
