Description
Wingspan 16 – 18mm. This is another variable moth that needs close inspection to be sure of its identity.
Habitat
Woodland edge, hedgerows and rough ground where the caterpillars feed on a range of herbaceous species.
Status and Distribution
Common and widespread throughout Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best Time to See
May to August.
