Description
Body length 8 - 10mm. A medium sized shieldbug with longitudinal stripes of buff and brown. It has a pointed head and a ridged pronotum.
Habitat
Grassland with tall dry grasses. Feeds on the developing seeds.
Status and distribution
Common and widespread in southern Britain as far north as Yorkshire.
Best time to see
May to September.
