Description
Over all length 3mm. A small black weevil with a down-pointing snout and longitudinal grooves on its elytra.
Habitat
Feeds on Meadow Cranesbill Geranium pratense plus other geranium species.
Status and distribution
Widespread over southern Britain where its food-plant occurs. Local in Nottinghamshire, fairly common at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
July to September.
