Description

Wingspan 12mm. A small, pale moth with faint striations along its fore-wings.

Habitat

Grassy areas where Tansy or Sneezewort, the larval food-plant, grows.

Status and distribution

Once rare and restricted to the southern counties but spreading northwards and found as far as Yorkshire. Uncommon in Nottinghamshire and found once at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

July and August.
