Description
Wingspan 7 to 9mm. A small brown moth attractively marked with black lines and grey patches.
Habitat
Found in Oak, Beech, Sweet Chestnut. The larvae mine a leaf.
Status and distribution
Fairly common and widespread through much of Britain, with a southerly bias. Common in Nottinghamshire and recorded once at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
April to November.
