Description

Body length 13 - 17mm. A long and slender, greyish pond skater.

Habitat

Ponds and slow moving water, where they catch small insect prey.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread in Britain. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

April to September.
