Iassus lanio

Description

Over all length 6.5 to 8mm. A large, broad-headed leafhopper that can be brown or green. The head is normally heavily blotched with dark brown.

Habitat

Normally found in Oak.

Status and distribution

Common and widespread through England and Wales, slightly more sparsely recorded in Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

June to October.
