Description
Body length 6 - 7mm. A small, bright, metallic blue shieldbug with a dark wing membrane.
Habitat
Damp grasslands and low herbage. They are predators, mostly of Flea Beetles, Altica species.
Status and distribution
Well distributed throughout Britain though not so common in Scotland. Widespread but not very common in Nottinghamshire. Uncommon at Netherfield Lagoons.
Best time to see
March to October.
