Description

Over all length 4mm. Quite variable brown weevil with two whitish patches towards the rear of the elytra.

Habitat

Woodland edge, hedgerows and scrub. Normally associated with Hawthorn.

Status and distribution

Common and widely distributed in England and Wales apart from the West Country. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons.

Best time to see

April to September.
