Subclytia rotundiventris
Description
Over all length 5 - 8mm. The thorax is grey and the abdomen is bright orange. It tends to hold its wings at right angles to its body and in a vertical plane.
Habitat
Woodland edge and hedgerows. This species parasitises the nymphs of shieldbugs.
Status and distribution
Mostly recorded from the south but with some records from as far north as Yorkshire. Found once on the site, the adult feeding on Angelica.
